Word of The Day: When Truth Challenges Your Religion.

Word of The Day:

When Truth Challenges Your Religion.

Hebrews 4:12 (KJV)
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Ify Alexis of Love Limitless speaking about the truth challenging our religion.

Submitting to God lies in renewing our minds and our understanding of God.

When my walk with God truly began I had a lot of thoughts that popped up and they had to do with my past in the church. I had questions about what I once knew / had been taught. When I asked God He showed me that a lot of the things that I knew or didn’t understand didn’t align with His word. And I decided that I had to let go of what I once knew by seeking God through His word.

In the video Ify mentioned that she read the O.T. and God showed her that He wasn’t just the bubblegum version that is being served up today, He is a God of war. Many of us have this same notion, we believe that God is only a God of being nice but we forget the O.T. and what is yet to come in Revelation.

When God shows us the truth of who He is are we willing to submit ourselves to that knowledge or do we continue to live life as thought we don’t know the truth.

There are many things in the bible that have been misinterpreted, hidden away, changed and added to but many of us don’t know the truth so we don’t challenge those lies.

Matthew 7:7-8 (KJV)
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

If you are new to Christ or have been a Christian for many years and you are seeking a true and real understanding of God and His word. I challenge you to open your heart to God. Ask Him the questions that you have always been too scared to ask. Make a list (mentally or physically) of all the things that you would like answers to. God will give you an answer.
